DREADMOOR Early Access Launch: Time, Price and Scope
DREADMOOR Early Access opens on 9 November 2026 at 13:00 UTC. Confirmed price, unlock times, install size and what the launch build still leaves open.
Status: this event has not started yet. DREADMOOR enters Early Access on Monday 9 November 2026 at 13:00 UTC. The base game costs $19.99 / €20.49 / £17.75, with an optional $4.99 Supporter Pack. It is a Windows PC, single-player release with a 60GB install. This page was written on 6 November 2026, three days before unlock, and will be confirmed against the live store page on 9 November 2026.
- Unlock moment: 13:00 UTC, one global release, no staggered regions announced.
- Price: $19.99 base, $4.99 optional Supporter Pack, no launch discount announced.
- Scope: complete core loop plus one major region, 6 to 12 months of planned Early Access.
- Not in the build: co-op, console versions, a second region.
On 6 November 2026 the Steam page still shows Coming Soon and no download is available. Everything on this page is the pre-launch position published by Digital Vortex Entertainment. Performance, bugs and post-launch patch behaviour cannot be judged until the build is in players' hands, and this page will be updated on 9 November 2026 with what actually shipped.

The last three days before an Early Access launch are usually the least informative: the store page stops changing, the trailers are already out and the only new information is a countdown. What follows is the confirmed part, separated from the parts the studio has left open, so you can decide whether to take 9 November off or wait for the first patch notes.

When does DREADMOOR Early Access start?
The unlock is a single global moment: 13:00 UTC on 9 November 2026. Digital Vortex published a time-zone map with the pricing announcement, and every city on it resolves to the same hour.
| City | Local unlock time | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles | 5:00 AM PST | 9 November |
| New York | 8:00 AM EST | 9 November |
| São Paulo | 10:00 AM BRT | 9 November |
| London | 1:00 PM | 9 November |
| Berlin | 2:00 PM CET | 9 November |
| Cape Town | 3:00 PM SAST | 9 November |
| Beijing | 9:00 PM CST | 9 November |
| Tokyo | 10:00 PM JST | 9 November |
| Sydney | 12:00 AM AEDT | 10 November |
One small wrinkle: the official map labels London as BST, but British summer time ends on 25 October 2026, so the correct label in November is GMT. The clock time is unchanged at 1:00 PM. If you are converting from another zone, 13:00 UTC is the number to use.
The date itself is not in doubt. Steam lists 9 Nov, 2026 and still flags the app as coming soon, and the publisher has repeated the date in two separate announcements, on 15 October and 19 October. A last-minute delay is always possible, but there has been no signal of one. The release date page tracks the date and regional pricing if you want the shorter version.
How much does DREADMOOR cost at launch?
These are the planned launch prices from the official announcement. Steam shows the final price in your own currency, and regional values can move slightly between announcement and unlock.
| Region | Base game | Supporter Pack |
|---|---|---|
| United States (USD) | $19.99 | $4.99 |
| Eurozone (EUR) | €20.49 | €4.89 |
| United Kingdom (GBP) | £17.75 | £4.19 |
| Brazil (BRL) | R$67.99 | R$17.99 |
| Russia (RUB) | ₽855 | ₽245 |
| Canada (CAD) | C$23.99 | C$6.29 |
| Japan (JPY) | ¥2,600 | ¥705 |
| China (CNY) | ¥77 | ¥19 |
| Australia (AUD) | A$28.50 | A$7.05 |
| Kazakhstan (KZT) | ₸5,720 | ₸1,490 |
The Supporter Pack is a support purchase, not a content expansion. Digital Vortex has not published an itemised list of what it grants, so treat it as a tip jar with an unspecified thank-you. The $19.99 base edition is the complete Early Access product. No launch discount has been announced, and the studio has not said whether the price will rise at 1.0.
What can you actually play on day one?
The launch build is described as a complete core gameplay loop and one major region. That is more specific than it sounds: every step of the loop works, but the map is not the whole world shown in the trailers.
| System | State at launch |
|---|---|
| Skill-based fishing and the tension minigame | In |
| Normal fish plus mutated species | In |
| Boat repair, dry dock and module upgrades | In |
| Crafting, bait and blueprint research | In |
| Scavenging ruins, caves and wrecks | In |
| Day and night risk cycle | In |
| One major region and its story arc | In |
| Additional regions | Not at launch |
| Co-op or multiplayer | Not planned |
| Console versions | Not announced |
| Mod support | Not announced |
The five pillars in the announcement are navigation, fishing, trawler upgrades, scavenging and night expeditions. After the story content ends, the waters stay open for rare specimens and further upgrades, which is the closest thing to an endgame the studio has described. For a system-by-system breakdown of the build, the Early Access content page goes deeper than this launch page.
Early Access versus the full release: what is still unknown
Dream Dock expects DREADMOOR to stay in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months, and states plainly that the plan will evolve with feedback. That is the only timeline on record. The studio has not published:
- A dated content roadmap, or the number of regions planned for 1.0.
- A 1.0 release date, or a target quarter.
- A story length estimate for the finished game.
- Whether Early Access saves will survive major patches.
- Whether the price changes at full release.
- What the Supporter Pack contains.
Anyone quoting a region count, a 1.0 date or a roadmap beyond "more content" is extrapolating. The honest position is that you are buying one region and a working loop, with the rest described only in general terms.
The demo's opening area sits inside that region, and the free demo runs about 3 to 4 hours for a first playthrough. The Early Access build is larger and continues past the demo's gate, but the studio has not given an hour estimate. If you need a number before buying, the demo is the only honest sample available.
Platforms, languages and install size
DREADMOOR is Windows PC only at launch. It is developed by Dream Dock and published by Digital Vortex Entertainment. Steam lists Windows 10 or higher, a 60GB install, DirectX 12, 8GB of RAM minimum, and a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 580 8GB as the floor. There is no macOS or Linux build, and no PlayStation, Xbox or Switch version has been announced.
Steam also lists Single-player, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. Twelve languages are supported, with full voice acting in English and Russian only and text plus subtitles for the rest:
- English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain)
- Portuguese (Brazil), Polish, Russian, Japanese
- Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean
Two practical checks before launch day: the system requirements page covers the CPU and storage side in detail, and the Steam Deck page tracks compatibility, which still had no Steam Deck rating at the time of writing. If you were waiting for a console release, the PS5 and Xbox status page is the one to watch.
A three-day checklist before 9 November
- Wishlist the game on Steam. The publisher's own instruction, and the only reliable push notification when the build unlocks.
- Free up 60GB on the target drive. Leave headroom for shader cache and patches; a launch build of this size rarely stays exactly 60GB.
- Update your GPU driver. A new release on a new engine version is the wrong week to run a six-month-old driver.
- Play or reinstall the demo. It is free, standalone and separate from the main app, and it is the best test of whether the fishing minigame and the fog-heavy performance hold up on your machine. Demo progress does not carry over: no save transfer has been announced.
- Decide on the Supporter Pack before checkout. It is optional, its contents are unspecified, and buying it later is not the same as buying it at launch if you care about supporting the studio early.
- Do not plan around a preload. As of 6 November 2026 no preload has been announced. If one appears, it will be on the store page first.
- Expect a single-player launch. No co-op, no shared boat, no multiplayer roadmap. The co-op page explains why that is a design decision rather than an omission.
The demo costs nothing and uses the same water and fog technology as the launch build. If it runs badly on your PC, the Early Access build will run badly too, and you have saved $19.99.
What could still change before launch
Three things, in order of likelihood. The unlock hour could shift by an hour or two if Valve's release pipeline has a bad day; the date would stay the same. Regional prices could differ slightly from the announcement table, because Steam local pricing is set per currency and the studio calls the listed values planned. And the first patch could land within days of launch, which is normal for Early Access and the reason day-one impressions age quickly.
What is unlikely to change is the scope. The build is already announced as one region with a complete loop, and no announcement has added co-op, consoles or a second region since. No review embargo details have been published either, so expect first impressions rather than scored reviews in the launch window.
